Sketch Challenge - Greenery Lane

I used products from the new Mini Catalog which launches on January 6, 2026 to make this beautiful card. The Greenery Lane Bundle has gorgeous images and dies and I used the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper for the background and some of the die cuts.

 
 

I made the card for this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here’s the sketch I used.

 
 

Tips & Instructions

  • Pretty Peacock Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Nature Walk Designer Series Paper - Die cut the background layer using the largest Perennial Postage Dies. Adhere to the card base.

  • Die cut 2 of the large branches from the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper using the Greenery Lane Dies.

  • Stamp the medium sized branch in Pretty Peacock Ink on a scrap of Basic White. Stamp the filler with Pretty Peacock Ink, stamping off first to get a lighter shade. Die cut with coordinating die.

  • Stamp 2 of the smaller branches in Old Olive Ink on scraps of Basic White and die cut with coordinating dies.

  • Die cut the square postage die from Basic White. Stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink.

  • Arrange and adhere the branches to the card. Adhere the sentiment label with Dimensionals and then add the medium sized branch with Dimensionals.

  • Add a Pretty Peacock Faceted Snowflake.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp large branch in Pretty Peacock, stamp a second and third time without re-inking.

 
 

I love this new bundle. It’s definitely my style with all the pretty greenery images.

These Shutter Cards are so fun and easier to make than you think. I used brand new products for the Valentine’s Day card from the Mini Catalog that’s coming out January 6th.

This card was made using products from the Made With Love Suite. The paper is bright and fun. The sentiment is from the Endless Love Stamp Set and I added some hearts from the Loose Valentine’s Assortment.

 
 

To make this card I used the True Blue Florals Designer Series Paper which is the December Product of the Month. You can get it for just $5.00 during the month of December with at $75 purchase. The sentiment and books were stamped using the On Display Stamp Set.

Sketch Challenge - Beautiful Butterflies

Is it too early for pastel butterflies? Maybe… but I went for it anyway! It was actually snowing outside while I was making this card, but I just love how it turned out. The butterflies are die cut from the new Pastels Shimmer Specialty Paper, and they add the prettiest soft sparkle.

Tips & Instructions

  • Basic Black Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Layer- 4 x 5-1/4, emboss using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to the card base.

  • Die cut 4 butterflies from the Pool Party Shimmer Specialty Paper and 3 butterflies from the Bubble Bath Shimmer Specialty Paper. Die cut 7 bodies from Basic Black Cardstock. Attach the bodies to the butterflies.
    Note: Use one of each color butterfly on the inside of the card.

  • Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2” strip of Basic White in BlackMemento Ink. Banner one end.

  • Banner one end of a 3/4” strip of Basic Black and adhere behind the white strip. Adhere to the card.

  • Adhere the butterflies to the card.

  • Add a small Rhinestone to each butterfly.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment in Black Memento Ink. Adhere 2 butterflies.

 
 

I love the shimmer on the butterfly wings against the black bodies!

Cute As A Bug Color Combo

The new Cute As A Bug Suite is just adorable. It’s one of the new suites coming out with the new Mini Catalog on January 6, 2026. It has such cute little bugs and will be great for kid’s cards.

 
 

I used the Color Combo from my December Inspiration Calendar - Blackberry Bliss, Berry Burst and Old Olive. I love these colors!

 
 

Tips & Instructions

  • Blackberry Bliss Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Cute As A Bug Designer Series Paper - 3-3/4 x 5, adhere to the card.

  • Basic White - die cut using the Everyday Arches Dies. Stamp sentiment in Berry Burst Ink using the Sweet Bugs Stamp Set. Adhere to the card.

  • Stamp the caterpillar holding the leaf on Basic White in Black Memento Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. I used Berry Burst and Old Olive. Die cut with coordinating die. Adhere to the arch with Dimensionals.

  • Die cut the branch from Old Olive and flower from Blackberry Bliss and adhere to the card with Dimensionals. I had to cut the Dimensionals into very small pieces for the branch and flower.

  • Add some Berry Burst Fine Shimmer Gems.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the ants in Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. I used Old Olive, Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss.

Sketch Challenge - Ornamental Christmas

I whipped up this card for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge, and I’m really happy with how it came together. I tweaked the sketch a bit to make it my own, and I think it totally works!

  • Basic Black Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Modern Christmas Designer Sereis Paper Layer - 3-3/4 x 5, adhere to the card.

  • Gold Foil Strips - 1/4 x 5 and 1/4 x 3-3/4, adhere to the card as shown in the picture.

  • Die cut the trees from the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper using the ornament from the Ornamental Christmas Designer Series Paper. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Die cut the smallest banner from the Nested Essentials Dies from Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment in Black Memento Ink. I broke the sentiment down to 3 lines to fit the banner. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Tie a bow with a piece of White & Gold Backer’s Twine and adhere to the ornament with a Glue Dot.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment Versamark Ink and heat emboss using Gold Embossing Powder. Stamp the tree image 3 times in Black Memento Ink.

 
 

I love all the gold accents with the gold strips on this card.

Ornamental Christmas Color Combo

I made this fun Christmas Card using the Ornamental Christmas Bundle. The background layer has pretty embossed snowflakes from the Silent Snowfall Designer Series Paper.

 
 

The color combo is from my December Inspiration Calendar - Shy Shamrock, Cherry Cobbler and Lemon Lolly.

 
 

Tips & Instructions

  • Cherry Cobbler Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Silent Snowfall Specialty Designer Series Paper - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Die cut the star from Lemon Lolly using the Ornamental Christmas Dies.

  • Die cut the circle from Shy Shamrock and the ornament top from Cherry Cobbler.

  • Adhere the circle, top and star to the card.

  • Stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler Ink on a 1/2 x 3-1/2 strip of Basic White and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Add some Faceted Snowflakes.

  • Tie a bow with a piece of white Baker’s Twine and adhere to the top of the ornament with a Glue Dot.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler Ink and the trees in Shy Shamrock Ink, stamping a second and third time without re-inking.

Sketch Challenge - Elegant Pine Snowflakes

This week my card is all about snowflakes. The beautiful pine snowflakes were die cut right from the Designer Series Paper and the background layer has embossed snowflakes.

  • Cherry Cobbler Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Silent Snowflake Specialty Designer Series Paper - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Die cut 3 medium sized snowflakes and one small snowflake from the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper using the Delicate Pines Dies. Arrange and adhere to the card using Dimensionals on the small snowflake and top medium snowflake.

  • Basic White - 1-3/4 x 3, stamp the sentiment from the Traditional Labels Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler Ink.

  • Cherry Cobbler - 1-7/8 x 3-1/8, adhere to the stamped label and then to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Add some Faceted Snowflakes.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment Cherry Cobbler Ink. Stamp the pine trees in Shaded Spruce Ink, stamping a second and third time without re-inking.

 
 

I love all the pretty snowflakes on this card.

Sketch Saturday - Christmas Cards

You can make two cards with this design! Cut two layers in half diagonally, rotate and then cut again diagonally. Use the pieces to make two cards; so fun!

 
 

Here’s the sketch I used. It’s from the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

 
 

Tips & Instructions

  • Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Layer (if using) - 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, adhere to the card base.

  • Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper - (2 pieces) 4 x 5-1/4 If you want to use both sides of the same piece, you can flip the pieces and make only one card.

  • Lay the 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper on top of each other and cut both diagonally from point to point. Rotate and repeat, keeping everything lined up.

  • Adhere the top and bottom triangle in one pattern and the side triangles with the other pattern to either the layer or card base.

  • Create the focal piece

    • For the O holy night card Stamp the image on a 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White in Black Memento Ink. Adhere to a 2-5/8 x 3-1/8 piece of Basic Black. Adhere together.

    • For the Merry Christmas card die cut the second from largest square in the Stylish Shapes Dies from a piece of Basic White. Die cut the largest square from a piece of Basic Black. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat emboss using Gold Embossing Powder. Adhere together

  • Adhere the focal piece to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Embellish as desired.

For this card I used the A Child Is Born Stamp Set and stamped in Black Memento Ink.

 
 

For this card, I embossed the sentiment and the inside tree in Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiments and images are from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set.

Charming Day Color Combo

I love coloring with Wink of Stella. It’s a great way to color when you don’t have a marker for the color you need. This pretty Birthday Card was made using the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper and Charming Day Bundle.

 
 

The Color Combo is from my December Inspiration Calendar - Poppy Parade, Night of Navy and Old Olive. I love those classic colors with the pop of red.

Tips & Instructions

  • Thick Basic White Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Floral Charm Designer Series Paper - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Use the Everyday Arches Dies to die cut a Basic White and a larger Night Of Navy arch.

  • Stamp the sentiment at the bottom, right side of white arch in Poppy Parade. I broke the sentiment into two lines. Adhere to the Night of Navy arch.

  • Stamp the floral image on Basic White in Black Memento Ink.

  • Color the flowers in Poppy Parade and the leaves in Old Olive inks. I did this by pressing a small clear block onto the ink pad and then use a Wink of Stella brush to pick up ink and color. You may want to dab the brush on scrap paper to get the initial layer of ink off first. Once done, paint on a piece of scrap paper to get all the ink off the brush.

  • Die cut the floral image with the coordinating die and adhere to the arches with Dimensionals.

  • Add some Old Olive Traditional Sparkling Sequins to finish it off.

 
 

On the inside layer adhere a 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic White Cardstock to a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of the Designer Series Paper and then adhere to the inside of the card.

 
 

I love the sparkle of the Wink of Stella. The picture doesn’t show how pretty it is.

  • Kintsugi Imperfections Designer Series Paper - cut 3 strips 5/8 x 3-3/4 and keep in order. Adhere to the card.

  • Die cut the vase from the Designer Series Paper using the Inspiring Imperfections Die. and adhere with Dimensionals.

  • Stamp sentiment on a 1” strip of Basic White in Misty Moonlight Ink. Cut to desired size and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Add 3 large Flower Accents.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), adhere a 3/4 x 4 strip of the Designer Series Paper.

Sketch Saturday - Jolly Delivery

This bear carrying the gifts is so cute. It’s a die cut in the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper and I thought it would be a perfect focal piece for this week’s sketch challenge.

Tips & Instructions

  • Poppy Parade Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper Layer - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Basic White Cardstock - cut 4 squares using the Perennial Postage Dies and adhere them to the card.

  • Punch out bear or any other die cut you want from the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper and adhere to the center of the squares with Dimensionals.

  • Die cut the label using the Perennial Postage Dies from a scrap of Basic White. Stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade Ink.

  • Pool Party Strip - 1/2” x 3, banner both ends and adhere to the back of the sentiment label. Adhere label to the card with Diemnsionals.

  • Add some Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade Ink. Adhere one of the die cuts from the Designer Series Paper pack.

  • Azure Afternoon Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic Black Layer - 3-7/8 x 5-1/8

  • Basic White Layer - 3-3/4 x 5

  • Stamp the large birthday sentiment in Azure Afternoon Ink on the white layer.

  • Use a rectangle die and trace around the sentiment with a black marker, leaving an opening to draw the point. Draw the point.

  • Stamp the 3 little birds in Black Memento Ink and color with Light Daffodil Delight and Light Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers.

  • Adhere the stamped layer to the black layer and then to the card base.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment in Azure Afternoon Ink. Stamp the birds in Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends Marker.

  • Basic White - Die cut using the 4th from largest Branching Out Die.

  • Stamp the images on the white die cut in Night of Navy Ink. Adhere to the Night of Navy die cut. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Stamp sentiment on a 1/2” x 4 strip of Basic White in Night of Navy Ink. Adhere to a 5/8” x 4 strip of Night of Navy. Adhere to the card, put Dimensionals on both ends of the strip and Seal+ in the center.

  • Add 2 Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment and stars in Night of Navy Ink.

  • Color the image with Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used Light Pretty Peacock for the bow, Light Lost Lagoon for the leaves and Light Crumb Cake for the flowers.

  • Stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink. The sentiment is from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Add some Pearls Of Beauty.

  • Poppy Parade Banner - 1-3/4 x 4-3/4, banner the bottom and adhere to the card.

  • Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper - 1-1/2 x 4, adhere to the card.

  • Stamp the jar on a scrap of Basic White in Secret Sea Ink and punch with the Sweet Jar Builder Punch. Stamp the ornaments in Poppy Parade Ink.

  • Punch jar top from a scrap of the Glimmer Paper.

  • Adhere the top to the jar and then adhere the jar to a 2-1/8 x 2-1/8 piece of Poppy Parade.

  • Stamp the sentiment on a 1-3/8 x 1-5/8 scrap of Basic White in Poppy Parade Ink. Round the corners.

  • Adhere the sentiment and the square to the card with Dimensionals.

 
 

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the ornaments across the top in Poppy Parade Ink. Start with the center one first and then on both sides of it. Stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade Ink.
