Sketch Challenge - Ornamental Christmas

I whipped up this card for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge, and I’m really happy with how it came together. I tweaked the sketch a bit to make it my own, and I think it totally works!

Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.

Tips & Instructions

  • Basic Black Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Modern Christmas Designer Sereis Paper Layer - 3-3/4 x 5, adhere to the card.

  • Gold Foil Strips - 1/4 x 5 and 1/4 x 3-3/4, adhere to the card as shown in the picture.

  • Die cut the trees from the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper using the ornament from the Ornamental Christmas Designer Series Paper. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Die cut the smallest banner from the Nested Essentials Dies from Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment in Black Memento Ink. I broke the sentiment down to 3 lines to fit the banner. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Tie a bow with a piece of White & Gold Backer’s Twine and adhere to the ornament with a Glue Dot.

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment Versamark Ink and heat emboss using Gold Embossing Powder. Stamp the tree image 3 times in Black Memento Ink.

I love all the gold accents with the gold strips on this card.
