The Round About Messages is a perfect stamp set for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. I die cut the large, scalloped circle from a piece of Mosaic Garden Designer Series Paper and then stamped the sentiment and image on the circle.
Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.
Tips & Instructions
Thick Basic White Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Mosaic Garden Designer Series Paper (Crisp Cantaloupe) - 2-3/4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card.
Use the 3rd from largest Scalloped Blooms Die to die cut a piece of Mosaic Garden Designer Series Paper.
Stamp the sentiment and cake on a piece of Basic White in Pretty Peacock ink using the Round About Messages Stamp Set. Punch using the 2” Circle Punch.
Color the cake with Stampin’ Blends. I used Pretty Peacock, Golden Glow and Crisp Cantaloupe.
Pretty Peacock Strip - 5/8 x 4, banner one end.
Golden Glow Strip - 5/8 x 3-1/2, banner one end.
Arrange and adhere the pieces as shown on the card and adhere. I used Dimensionals on the stamped circle.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp the cake in Pretty Peacock ink and color with Stampin’ Blends.
I love the sentiment and that cute little cake against the patterned scalloped circle.
