Sketch Saturday - Home for Christmas

I made this card for the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge using the Home for Christmas Stamp Set. The tags are from the Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Here’s the sketch I used. I look at the shapes and then take it from there.

Tips & Instructions

  • Poppy Parade Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5-1/4, emboss using the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder and cut in half at 2-1/8. Adhere to the card base leaving a space between them.

  • Cut the 2 tags from the Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper and punch a hole in them with a hole punch. Feed a piece of Pecan Pie Jute through the holes and tie a knot.

  • Cut 2 pieces of Basic White Cardstock to 1-1/2 x 2. Stamp the tree on one in Peaceful Pine ink and the gingerbread man on the other in Pecan Pie ink. Adhere one to each tag.

  • Adhere the tags to the card using Dimensionals on the top one.

  • Add some Adhesive-Backed Christmas Berries to the card.

  • Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2” strip of Basic White in Peaceful Pine ink. Cut each end at an angle and adhere with Dimensionals.

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade and the tree in Peaceful Pine inks.

I love how fun these tags are with the gingerbread man and the tree.
