I made this card for the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge using the fun Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper. I love the striped pattern on the sides.
Here’s the sketch I used. These challenges are so fun to do!
Tips & Instructions
Thick Basic White Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Basic Black Layer - 4 x 5-1/4
Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper - 2 pieces 3-3/4 x 5. Lay them on top of each other and cut diagonally twice to create 4 triangles. If you like the pattern on both sides of one patterned paper, you can use just one sheet.
Use one pattern of triangles for the top and bottom and the other pattern for the side triangles. Adhere them to the black layer leaving a small border around them. Adhere the layer to the card base.
Die cut the tag die from Basic White cardstock using the Oh My Fright Dies. I only cut the top half to create a smaller tag.
Stamp the sentiment on the tag in black ink and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
Die cut 2 sets of bats from Basic Black cardstock.
Adhere the bats around the tag. I glued part on the tag and used tiny pieces of Dimensionals on the part that hangs off.
Tie a bow with a piece of Black Iridescent Ribbon and adhere it to the tag with a Glue Dot.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Black ink. Add the last bat just above it. I used the 2 striped triangle pieces and cut along the bottom of them at 1/2” to create those top and bottom pieces.
Those little bats are so fun around the BOO to you sentiment!
