I love all the bright, cheerful colors in the Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper—it was hard to choose just one pattern for this card! The embossed layer at the top coordinates beautifully with the design and adds such a nice finishing touch.
I made this card for the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here’s the sketch I used.
Tips & Instructions
Balmy Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Basic White Layer - 4 x 5-1/4
Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper - 2-1/4 x 5-1/4
Basic White Layer - 1-3/4 x 5-1/4, emboss using the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder
Adhere the embossed layer to the top of the Basic White Layer and the Designer Series Paper to the bottom.
Wrap a piece of Balmy Blue Gingham Ribbon around the seam and adhere to the back. Adhere layer to the card.
Die cut the second from largest banner from Basic White using the Nested Essentials Dies.
Stamp the sentiment at the top of the banner in Balmy Blue ink and the flowers at the bottom in Black Memento ink. Color the flower with a Light Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker and the leaves with a Light Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Blends Marker.
Adhere the banner to the card using Dimensionals.
Tie a bow and adhere to the card with a Glue Dot.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), adhere a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of the Designer Series Paper.
There’s a beautiful shine to the Designer Series Paper, the picture can’t really capture it.
