Sketch Challenge - Stitched Stocking

I decided to let the Designer Series Paper do the work on my card for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. It’s call A Stitched Season and has great quilt-inspired patterns.

Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.

Tips & Instructions

  • Thick Basic White Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper - 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, adhere to the card base.

  • A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper - 2-3/4 x 4-7/8 (I pretty much cut to include 2 trees with the border around them).

  • Basic White - 2-1/2 x 5, adhere the Designer Series Paper to the white layer and then to the card front.

  • Punch a circle from Basic White using the 2-3/8 Circle Punch. Stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink using the Stitched Stocking Stamp Set. Adhere the circle to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Die cut the small trees using the Stitched Stocking Dies on a strip of Old Olive. Adhere 4 of them to a 1/2 strip of Basic White and adhere to the circle.

  • Tie a bow with the Real Red Stitched Ribbon and adhere it to the circle with a glue dot.

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink. Add a piece of Designer Series Paper cut to 3/4 x 4.

I love the the quilted feel of this Designer Series Paper, so warm and cozy for the holidays.
