The Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper is beautiful. The patterns have a hand-painted impressionist look. I made the card for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge.
Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.
Tips & Instructions
Thick Basic White Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Azure Afternoon Layer - 4 x 5-1/4
Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper - cut grid pieces 1/2” x 1. Start with a 3 x 4 piece with the pattern you want to use. Cut it into three 1” strips. Then cut each strip into 1/2” pieces keeping them in order. Adhere them to create the grid on the Azure Afternoon Layer. I adhered the middle piece and then added each side and did this row by row. I cut them as I went to help me keep them in order.
Stamp the sentiment in Cajun Craze Ink using the More Messages Stamp Set. Die cut with the coordinating die. Adhere to the card.
Adhere the layer to the card base.
Add some small Cajun Craze & Gold Dots.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment in Cajun Craze ink, die cut with the coordinating die and adhere. Adhere a 1 x 4 piece of the Designer Series Paper.
I love how this card turned out with the pretty flowers cut into a grid.
