Shell Collecting and Beach Time Color Combo

I love that the Shell Collecting Stamp Set is reversible—it makes creating beautiful layered images so easy. You can stamp the detailed side for crisp definition, then use the filler side and stamp off to achieve a softer, lighter color. I paired it with the Beach Time Stamp Set to add these fun, beachy sentiments, and the combination works perfectly together.

The Color Combo is from my March Inspiration Calendar - Granny Apple Green, Peach Pie and Flirty Flamingo.

Tips & Instructions

  • Granny Apple Green Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x5-1/4

  • Stamp the shell images on the white layer starting with the largest image first and then filling in with the smaller images. I used Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Peach Pie ink pads. I found that stamping the detailed side of the stamp first gives you good visibility to know where to stamp the filler side. Stamp off (stamp on scrap paper first to take a layer of ink off the stamp) the filler side first. Adhere layer to card base.

  • Use the smaller Creative Haven tag die to die cut 2 tags, one from Granny Apple Green and one from Basic White cardstock.

  • Stamp the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink on the white tag and then adhere to the green tag offsetting it a little bit. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Tie a bow with 3 strands for White Baker’s Twine and adhere to the tag with a Glue Dot.

  • Add some Flirty Flamingo Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to the card.

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment Flirty Flamingo ink. Stamp some shells along the bottom.

I love the bright colors of these seashells, definitely beach vibes!
