I made this pretty card using today’s Color Combo. These are different colors for the violets but I think it works!
Most of the products I used are on sale…the Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper and Ribbon are marked down on the Last Chance List and the Basic Beige and Secret Sea Cardstock are on sale.
The Color Combo is from my August Inspiration Calendar - Strawberry Slush, Secret Sea and Basic Beige.
You can get my calendar each month when you subscribe to my email list.
Tips & Instructions
Basic Beige Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Mixed Up Patterns Layer - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.
Mixed Up Patterns Strip - 3/4 x 4, adhere to the card.
Die cut the scallop oval from Secret Sea Cardstock using the Framed Violets Dies.
Die cut the smaller oval from Basic White Cardstock using the Framed Violets Dies.
Stamp the violets on the white oval in black ink.
Press Strawberry Slush ink on a clear block and then pick up the ink with a Wink of Stella brush and color the flowers. Do the same for the leaves using Basic Beige ink.
Adhere the stamped oval to the scalloped oval and then to the card.
Stamp the sentiment on a 3/8” strip of Basic White in Secret Sea ink. Trim down and then adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
Tie a bow with a piece of Secret Sea Bordered Open Weave Ribbon and adhere to the card with a Glue Dot.
Add some Basic Beige Adhesive-Backed Blooms.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Secret Sea ink. Stamp the flower in black ink and color with Wink of Stella and Strawberry Slush & Basic Beige inks.
I love the shimmer on the flowers from the Wink of Stella, it’s a great way to add a special touch to a card.
