Beautiful Peace on Earth Christmas Card

I know its early for Christmas but I couldn't wait to use some of the products from the new Holiday Catalog. Check out these beautiful cards!

Peace on Earth Both2.jpg

The Card Front Builder Thinlits punches out the stars and the moon on the Night of Navy cardstock so the white background layer pops through.  Then heat embossing the sentiment and snowflakes with white, really gives it a starry night look.

Using three different colors for the trees adds great dimension and looks so natural.

Fun Gift Card Holders with Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP

Today's project is a great gift card holder.  The Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP is so fun.  These are very easy to make and you can use any DSP or cardstock for any occasion. The Mini Gift Bow just adds the final shiny touch.

Gift Card Both2.jpg

For this one I used the dots and the belly band is the same pattern.

This one has the chevron pattern and the belly band is the reverse side of the DSP.

Check out the video below to see step by step instructions on how to make one.

Here are the dimensions for your reference:
-- 6x6 piece of DSP or cardstock
-- Cut 3/4 off for belly band
-- On the 5 1/4" side, score 3/4" then flip and score 3/4" on opposite side
--  Rotate to score the 6" side at 1 1/4" then slide and score at 3 3/4"

This is what it should look like when cut & scored:

Beautiful Card for Encouragement

I made today's card to send to a friend that needs some encouragement.  I think it turned out beautifully and I know she'll like it.

I used the Ribbon of Courage Bundle which was created by Patty Bennett when she hit her million dollar sales. WOW!! Its really a great bundle.  The color combination is Fresh Fig and Powder Pink.

Watch the video below to see how I made this card.  Its simple but the layers make it so pretty.

Rustic Thank You Card Using Daisy Delight

One of my favorite color combinations is Crumb Cake and Night of Navy. Don't you just love it?  The embossed white daisies just pop off the card.  I embossed the center of the daisies with Peekaboo Peach and embossed them with clear embossing powder.

I stamped a daisy with Crumb Cake on Whisper White cardstock and punched it with the Daisy punch.  Then I wrapped the card layer with the Burlap Ribbon and tied some Navy Bakers Twine in a bow.

This card has the Daisy punch with Peekaboo Peach stamped in the center.

I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the center of this daisy.  I think I like this one better.

Look Who's Turning 2 - Cute Birthday Card

Today I made a card for my sweet Grandson's 2nd birthday. The color combo of Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist is so bright and cheery, so fun!!!!

I added some Dapper Denim Grossgrain ribbon to finish it off and layered it on the a Lemon Lime Twist card base that was embossed with the Oh My Stars embossing folder just to add some pizzaz.

Check out my video to see how I made it.

Color Challenge - Pocketful of Sunshine

Today's card is a result of a color challenge that my team is doing.  The challenge is to use Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist and Flirty Flamingo. Aren't these are great summer colors.  Soooo, here's my card!

Pocketful of Sunshine - Small.jpg

I used the Pocketful of Sunshine bundle to make the pocket and sunglasses.  The sentiment and sun are also from that bundle. The Delightful Daisy DSP was used for the pocket, isn't is cute

Hogs & Kisses from the Little Piggies!!!

Today's card is so much fun!  I just love these little piggy stamps.  They are ADORABLE!!!

I used the Aqua Painters and Watercolor Paper for the piggies.  It was very soothing to color them.  I fussy cut them out and stuck them in a Wood Crate.

The Color Theory DSP was used for the crate and the pretty background layer.  I love this DSP.  I used Powder Pink for the piggies and Berry Burst for the sentiment and the heart to coordinate with the DSP.

Watch the video below and let me know if you have any questions.

Beautiful Bouquet Cards

Today's cards feature the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle.  I made a birthday card for my Mom's 86th birthday.  She loves flowers.  I made the card in the video as a Thank You card just to change it up a little.

After I completed the video, I decided that the lilies needed something so I found there was a stamp with the stamen (I think that's what they are) image.  It really makes the flowers complete.

July's Paper Pumpkin Is Here

I'm loving this month's Paper Pumpkin and I can't wait to get some time to sit down and make the cards.  Its great getting this little orange box in my mailbox each month.

Take a look at the video from Stampin' Up! with the details on this month's Paper Pumpkin.

Not Familiar with Paper Pumpkin? It's a surprise your mailbox every month.  Because who doesn't love happy mail?  Here are some highlights:

  • Every kit comes with an exclusive stamp set to use over and over!

  • It’s an incredible value! In addition to a stamp set an ink spot(s), the kits are packed with supplies many to make awesome projects like cards, home décor, gift packaging, and more. For example, our card kits (6+ per year) always include 8 cards—at least!

Happy 95th Birthday Dad!!!

This week is my Dad's 95th birthday and I made this card especially for him.  I love the sentiment inside.  Is says "the number of years the world has been a better place because of you".  That's exactly how I feel about him, the world has been a better place because of him.  I hope he enjoys his big birthday!!!!

I used the Number of Years Bundle and the Happy Birthday Thinlits to make this card.  The Early Espresso and Pear Pizzaz go well together with the Coffee Break DSP to make a masculine card.

Zesty Lemons at the Farmer's Market

Today's card features the Lemon Zest and the Wood Words bundles to make this Farmer's Market card.  I think they go together very well.

I used the Wood Textures DSP to cut the crate with the Wood Crate Framelits. The lemons and leaves were stamped with the Lemon Zest stamps and then cut out with the Lemon Builder Punch.  Linen Thread wrapped around and tied in a bow put the finishing touches on.

Watch the video below to see how I made this card.

Lemons, Limes & Oranges....How Refreshing!!!!

Today I'm featuring the Lemon Zest Stamp set.  Isn't this a great card!  Its so refreshing to see all that delicious citrus fruit.

I stamped the orange, lemon and lime slices and then cut them out with the Layering Circles Framelits. Then I cut the lemons and limes in half.  The Daffodil Delight ribbon and Glimmering Enamel Dots finished off the card just perfectly.

Check out the video below to see how I made this card!

If Life Gives You Lemons.....

This week I'm featuring the Lemon Zest Bundle.
Today's card has a fresh look with the bright lemons hanging off a branch.

I love the sentiment: If life gives you lemons....Squeeze it for all its worth?

I used Garden Green for the leaves and stamped directly on one leaf and then stamped again on the next leaf without re-inking.  This gives you two different shades of the same color.

Here's the inside of the card.

Watch the video below to see how I used this bundle to make the card.  I love having a punch to quickly cut out the images.  I used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to get the branch but you can just cut a branch yourself pretty easily if you don't have those thinlits.

Beautiful Tranquil Tulips, so many options

Today I want to show you how to use the Tranquil Tulips Host set.  You can make some gorgeous tulips that have a watercolor look using this two-step stamp set.

Here are some sample cards that I made.  Check out the video to see the other colors I tried.  Its great to play with your stamps using different colors.

The tulips in this card were made with Calypso Coral and the stems are in Old Olive.  I used the Layered Leaves embossing folder to emboss one layer and adhered it to an Old Olive card base.

These tulips were stamped in Real Red and Old Olive for the stems and leaves.  It was adhered to a Real Red card base.

Last but not least, this tulip was stamped in Berry Burst and the leaves and stamp are in Lemon Lime Twist.  I used some In-Color Berry Burst DSP to ad a strip behind the Layering Ovals with the stamped image.  This was all adhered to a Whisper White layer and a Berry Burst card base.

Watch the video below to see the other colors I used to play around with the stamp set.  What fun!!!!

At Home With You

I made this card with my log home in mind.  We built a log home in Upstate New York and the entrance looks like this card, with the green door and the lights on either side.

There are a lot of pieces to make some beautiful scenes using the At Home With You bundle.

Both cards are similar but I changed up the color of the welcome mat and the floor.  I also used the embossed Pinewood Planks on one and the debossed on the other.

Check out my video for all the details on how I made these cards.

Lovely As Can Be

Today I made some sweet cards for a "Lovely" person in your life.  Aren't they nice?

I used the Lovely Inside & Out bundle which includes the Thinlits and the Sentiment.  I also used some stamps from the Eastern Beauty stamp set.

Check out the video below to see how I made them.

This card was made using Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and ink.

Fun Background Using Lovely Inside & Out

Today I made a great background for a card using the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set.  It was so easy to do and I love the way it came out.

I stamped the image in Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig randomly on Whisper White cardstock to create the background.  To get a lighter color, I stamped off first.

Take a look at the video to see how I made this card.

A Little Wild Meets Pocketful Of Sunshine

I love the way these two bundles worked together to make this fun card.   I used the A Little Wild bundle with the Pocketful Of Sunshine bundle.

Wild About You Cards.jpg

I stamped the animals from A Little Wild and cut them out with the coordinating framelits.  I cut the back off because I only needed the front of each animal.

The pocket was stamped in Dapper Denim on a piece of Color Series DSP.  Doesn't it look like a faded denim?  I cut out the pocket with the coordinating framelits.  The glimmer enamel dots add just the right touch.

Take a look at the video to see how I made this card.  I added an extra strip on the bottom of one card because I felt the pocket was adhered a little too high and left too much white space.

Sweet Baby Girl Card

This A Little Wild stamp set is just so darn cute.  I made this card for a sweet baby girl but you can switch out the colors and make it for a baby boy.

This stamp set has matching framelits and makes some really cute tags.  You can bundle it and save 10%.  I also used the Ruffled Dynamic Folder to create a deep, embossed layer.
