I finally used the Thankful Garden Masks and they are so easy to use and the results are just beautiful.
The Color Combo is from my July Inspiration Calendar - Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo. You can get my calendar each month when you subscribe to my email list.
Tips & Instructions
Melon Mambo Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Basic White Layer - 4-1/8 x 5-3/8, adhere to the card base.
Using the Thankful Garden Masks and Blending Brushes, blend ink on Basic White to create the flowers. I used Night of Navy for the hydrangea, Melon Mambo for the other flowers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves.
Start with a piece of scrap paper or grid paper and lay a piece of Basic White on it. Place mask number 1 on the Basic White and use masking tape or washi tape to hold it in place. Draw a pencil line at the notch that’s on the top of the mask on the scrap paper so you know where to line up the rest of the masks. The first mask is the background so when you blend the ink, keep it light, you will add more ink with the other masks. Once you’re done with this mask, remove it and add mask number 2 and blend the ink a little darker, continue with each mask adding darker layers for each layer.
Die cut the flowers with the coordinating dies.
Adhere the Melon Mambo flowers to the card, then add the hydrangeas using Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Motifs Stamp Set on a 1 x 1-1/2 strip of Basic White in Night of Navy ink. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
Add some Rhinestones to the flower centers of the hydrangea.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp sentiment in Night of Navy Ink. Stamp the leaves in Granny Apple Green Ink.
I love how these flowers look with the different shades of ink.
