This week’s Sketch Challenge was a tough one for me. I decided to use the Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper for the strips and then went from there. This paper is the February Product of the Month which you can purchase for only $5 with a $75 order.
Here’s the sketch I used from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
Tips & Instructions
Pretty Peacock White Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Basic White Layer - 4 x 5-1/4
Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper Strips - cut 4 at 1/2 x 4
Lost Lagoon Strips - cut 3 at 1/2 x 3-1/4
Adhere the strips to the white layer, alternating between each. Adhere to the card base.
Die cut the circles image from Pretty Peacock Cardstock, using the Lovely Arrangements Dies. Adhere to the card.
Basic White - 1-1/2 x 1-3/4, stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink. I broke the sentiment into 2 lines. Round 2 of the corners and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
Add some Petal Pink Pearlized Faceted Circles.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), die cut the circles again from Pretty Peacock Cardstock. Cut the top and bottom row of circles and adhere to the bottom of the inside layer. One of the circles will overlap the other so make sure they line up nicely (or cut one off). Adhere a 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of the Designer Series Paper over the top of the circles.
I was surprised how the card turned out and I’m happy with it.
