I made a Slimline card for this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. These are so fun to make.
Here’s the sketch I used. I was going to cut little squares but I decided to cut strips to lay over the patterned paper to create the square look.
Tips & Instructions
Thick Basic White Card Base - 7-1/2 x 8-1/2, score on the 7-1/2 side at 3-3/4
Mosaic Garden Designer Series Paper - 3-1/2 x 8-1/4, score every 1/2” both vertically and horizontally. Fold a little bit, this will help you line up the cardstock strips.
Strips of Pretty Peacock Cardstock - cut 16 strips at 1/8 x 4 and 6 strips at 1/8 x 9
Adhere the short strips across the 3-1/2 side along the score lines.
Adhere the long strips across the 8-1/4 side along the score lines.
Trim off the pieces that hang over the layer.
Wrap a piece of White Textured Ribbon around the layer, adhering it to the back of the layer. Adhere the layer to the card base.
Die cut 4th from largest scalloped circle from Basic White using the Scalloped Blooms Dies.
Stamp the sentiment from the Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set on the die cut in Pretty Peacock ink and adhere to the card.
Tie a bow with the ribbon and adhere with a Glue Dot.
Add a Pretty Peacock Dot.
On the inside layer (3-1/2 x 8-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink. Adhere a 1 x 3-1/2 strip of Designer Series Paper to the bottom.
It took a while to line up all the strips but I like how it turned out!
