I love these embossed flowers and thought they would work great for this week’s Sketch Challenge from Splitcoaststampers.
Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.
Tips & Instructions
Azure Afternoon Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Basic White Cardstock 4 x 5-1/4, blend Azure Afternoon Ink on the layer using a Blending Brush. Adhere the layer to the card base.
Use the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the sunflower. I used the same sunflower for both pieces so I ran 2 separate pieces of cardstock through with the folder.
Fussy cut the sunflowers and cut off the edge of each. Use blending brushes to add Daffodil Delight ink to the petals and Pecan Pie ink to the centers..
Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper - 3/4 x 5-1/4
Adhere the strip and the sunflowers to the card as shown.
Basic White Label - 1-1/8 x 2-7/8, stamp the sentiment from the Prayers & Promises Stamp Set. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
Add some white Pearls of Beauty embellisments.
On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink and add a 3/4 x 4 strip of the Designer Series Paper.
I love the the detail on the sunflowers from the embossing folder.
