Sketch Challenge - Prayers & Promises

I love these embossed flowers and thought they would work great for this week’s Sketch Challenge from Splitcoaststampers.

Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.

Tips & Instructions

  • Azure Afternoon Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Cardstock 4 x 5-1/4, blend Azure Afternoon Ink on the layer using a Blending Brush. Adhere the layer to the card base.

  • Use the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the sunflower. I used the same sunflower for both pieces so I ran 2 separate pieces of cardstock through with the folder.

  • Fussy cut the sunflowers and cut off the edge of each. Use blending brushes to add Daffodil Delight ink to the petals and Pecan Pie ink to the centers..

  • Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper - 3/4 x 5-1/4

  • Adhere the strip and the sunflowers to the card as shown.

  • Basic White Label - 1-1/8 x 2-7/8, stamp the sentiment from the Prayers & Promises Stamp Set. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Add some white Pearls of Beauty embellisments.

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), stamp the sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink and add a 3/4 x 4 strip of the Designer Series Paper.

I love the the detail on the sunflowers from the embossing folder.
