Sketch Challenge - Blessed Beginnings

I love the Blessed Beginnings Bundle, so I chose it for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. The church image is so sweet, and this set is perfect for creating cards for Easter, baptisms, or weddings.

Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.

Tips & Instructions

  • Crumb Cake Card Base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5-1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper - 2 x 3, adhere to the card.

  • Basic White - 3 x 4-1/2, emboss using the Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder. Lightly blend some Smoky Slate ink on the layer using a blending brush. Adhere to the card.

  • Stamp the church on a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock using Pecan Pie Ink. Die cut with coordinating die.

  • Die cut the roof, cross and door from a scrap of Pecan Pie Cardstock. Adhere to the church. Adhere the church to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Die cut 3 large trees from Garden Green cardstock and 2 small trees from Granny Apple Green cardstock. Adhere the trees to the card using Dimensionals on the trees in front.

  • Stamp the sentiments on a strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock in Versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Fussy cut and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

On the inside layer (4 x 5-1/4), adhere a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of the Designer Series Paper.

I love this sweet church with the embossed layer behind it.
