Sketch Challenge - Happy Birthday Card

I love the Mini Alphabet Dies. You can write whatever you want and the size is perfect, not too big and not too small.

I made this card for the weekly Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. Here’s the sketch I used. You can see the other projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch.

Tips & Instructions

  • Berry Burst Card Base - 4 1/4 x 11, score at 5 1/2 (top folding), round the top corners.

  • Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper (floral pattern) - 5 1/4 x 4, round the top corners and adhere to the card base.

  • Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper (pink) - 4 x 3. Cut the triangle at the bottom to look like a word bubble. Round all 4 corners.

  • Berry Burst Strip 4 x 1, lay behind the bottom of the Designer Series Paper layer and cut to get the same shape. Round the ends and adhere behind the Designer Series Paper layer leaving a border.

  • Berry Burst - cut the letters using the Mini Alphabet Dies. I cut the full sheet of letters and then went back to cut another P and Y and the ! Adhere the letters to the word bubble.
TIP - I used a Post It Note to help get the letters glued down straight. Put the Post It Note where you want the bottom of the letters to sit and glue them down one by one.

  • Adhere the word bubble r to the card base.

  • Add some Berry Burst Tinsel Gems.

On the inside layer (5 1/4 x 4 - round top corners) stamp the sentiment in Berry Burst ink and the leaves in Pretty Peacock ink.
