Sketch Saturday - Textured Floral

For this week’s sketch challenge, I made a slimline card using the Textured Floral Bundle. There’s lots of flowers, which I love and a sweet sentiment.

The sketch I used is from the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Tips & Instructions

  • Blackberry Bliss Card Base - 8 1/2 x 7, score at 3 1/2 (on the 7 side)

  • Basic White Layer - 8 1/4 x 3 1/4, splatter Blackberry Bliss Ink on the layer using a marker (Stampin’ Write or Stampin’ Bends) by flicking the brush end off the cap. Adhere to card base.

  • Stamp 2 large flowers on Basic White with Melon Mambo Ink, stamping off first on scrap and then stamp the center with Melon Mambo Ink directly. Cut using the coordinating die.

  • Stamp 3 medium flowers with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Stamp centers with Daffodil Delight Ink. Cut with coordinating die.

  • Stamp 2 large sets of leaves with Granny Apple Green Ink and cut with coordinating die. Cut these leaves apart so you can fit them in around the flowers.

  • Cut greenery pieces - 3 from Basic White, 3 from Mossy Meadow and 2 from Shaded Spruce

  • Stamp sentiment with Blackberry Bliss Ink on a 3 1/4 x 1 strip of Basic White. Layer on 3 1/4 x 1 1/4 strip of Blackberry Bliss.

  • Arrange greenery on white layer. Add sentiment with Dimensionals. Add flowers with Dimensionals.

I love these colors together, Melon Mambo and Blackberry Bliss with a touch of Daffodil Delight!
