Sketch Challenge - Perfectly Penciled Circles

I’m having fun being on the Splitcoast Sketch Team. Each week I get to see the sketch early and make a card to post to the Gallery.

This week I made a Black and White Card using the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper.

Here’s the sketch I followed - SC496. If you want to see all the cards made for this week’s challenge, click on the sketch below.

Tips & Instructions

  • Basic Black Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic White Layer - Emboss using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder (Note - this will be available starting March 1, 2023.

  • Cut circles using the Layering Circles Dies. I cut 2 of each pattern. Adhere to white layer letting them hang over the edge. Cut the overhang off and adhere layer to card base.

  • Stamp sentiment with Black Memento Ink on a 1/2” strip of Basic White and punch one end with the Banners Pick A Punch. Adhere to card with Dimensionals.

  • Add a Pearl to the sentiment label.

I love the embossed layer. The Basic 3D Embossing Folders are a set of 3 folders with some fun patterns.

I added some half circles across the top and bottom of the inside layer. Cut 3 circles with the Layering Circles Dies and then cut them in half and adhere as shown below.
