I love making my own background layer and the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set has beautiful leaf images for this technique. This is a great fall birthday card and perfect for a guy.
The name of this stamp set describes it perfectly. These leaves are gorgeous! I love all the little splatter dots around the images.
I used Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Merry Merlot for this card which are such beautiful autumn colors.
Tips & Instructions
Crushed Curry Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Very Vanilla Layer - 5 1/4 x 4
Stamp leaves randomly on the Very Vanilla layer starting with the largest leaf first and then filling in with the smaller ones.
Wrap piece of Diamond Weave Ribbon around the stamped layer and adhere to back. Adhere to card base.
Stamp sentiment (from A Grand Kid Stamp Set) on scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock using Merry Merlot Ink. Punch with Label Me Fancy Punch.
Punch a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock with the Label Me Lovely Punch. Adhere behind the stamped label.
Adhere label to card using Dimensionals.
Add a Bumblebee Square Gem to label.
